built-in types <a href="rrefsqlj14122.html#rrefsqlj14122">REAL</a>, <a href="rrefsqlj27281.html#rrefsqlj27281">FLOAT</a>, and <a href="rrefsqljdoubleprecision.html#rrefsqljdoubleprecision">DOUBLE
PRECISION</a> are supported. The return type for SQRT is the type of the
parameter.</p>
 <div class="note"><span class="notetitle">Note: </span>To execute SQRT on other data types, you must cast them
to floating point types. </div>
